I'm only filling the bird feeders with sunflower seed every third day now.  The horse chestnut is in blossom as are a lot of other plants so the hummingbirds are emptying their feeders so fast.  We have a scarlet tanager couple nesting nearby, they come to the sunflower feeders a few times a day.  Our egg yolks are always a deeper color than store bought.  Now that they are getting greens everyday they are an even deeper yellow.  I made butter yesterday, it is a beautiful deep yellow.  Next week we can start planting tomatoes and other vegetables that need warmth to thrive.  Tomorrow we'll start the wood cook range again to keep us warm this week.
May your day be blessed, Sally.
