I went to the doctor's yesterday. The roads were not good going to the doctors. School was delayed, then canceled. We didn't get the inches of snow forecast, the ice and slush are gone this morning.
. My lungs sounded clear but she wanted an Xray and an EEG. The EEG was all good but the x ray showed I had pneumonia. If she had seen me last week she would have put me in the hospital on iv antibiotics. As it was I am much better than I was last week so she put me on oral antibiotics. The same thing happened the summer after Darel died. I was sent home, and went back two days later very sick. My daughter in law had told me to insist on an x-ray. That time I was in the hospital 36 hours on iv. In the hall because they didn't have an empty room. M blisters from the pemphigoid relapse are mostly healed. Now to get my strength back!
People asked about the magonias that are coming. They are a cold hardy variety named Ann with large pink blossoms. The plants will be 12-18 inches tall and priced at sixty dollars. The bareroot nursery order that has the fruit trees on it leaves Minnesota April 21st. The strawberries and asparagus will be shipped from Connecticut 4/28. We don't have a ship date from Prides Corner farm yet.
The chicks are supposed to come today. The feed store won't know for sure until eight when the post office opens. Sometimes the post office calls earlier because the sound of that many chiks peeping is overwhelming. Bekah has everything ready. Azalea and Izzy washed the feeders and waterers. Four weeks from now they will be washing hummingbird feeders.
