The pipe in the horse barn that started leaking why Jay was thawing it turned out to be God caring for us.  When they started repairing it another section just fell apart.  If that had come apart when no one was there it would have made a flood that would have turned into a block of ice.  Both breaks are fixed now and all is well.
Cold as it has been, the sun has warmed the greenhouse so that it was pleasant to work in.  The furnace platform is nearly finished.  They need to get a few more pressure treated 2 by 4s so they can finish it this weekend.
The long range forecast says we'll be slightly warmer than average from February through April.  The same forecasters said January would be warmer than average.  A flock of pine grosbeaks came to the feeders yesterday.  We are overrun with eggs.  People stay home when it is cold.  I'm hoping and expecting a run on eggs this weekend.
May God be with you.  Sally
