In the morning the Christmas tree went out to the birds..Even though it had been in the house three plus weeks it lost very few needles.  maegin took her tree down and bought it here for the birds too.  It also lost very few needles.Jay and darel set them up and I tied them to the fence so they would stay in place  Between the fence and trees the birds are protected from the NW winds.  Up here on the hill we are often warmer than down in the low places but we get lots of wind.  Twenty month old Ruby had a meltdown when the tree left.  Maegin said it didn't bother her when she took the tree down at home.  For some reason Great Grandma's tree was different.
Dexter has free roller skating in the winter Saturday afternoons.  Maegin took the girls, Bekah stayed home and watched Ruby.  In the evening they all went to Orono to walk the River Walk of Christmas lights.  Jay and Darel spent the afternoon tweaking the tightness of the plastic on the new greenhouse so it would inflate evenly and snow/ice would slide off faster.
On this day of reat may we all give thanks that the greatest gift of Christmas, Christ, is with us twelve months of each and every year, not just December and the twelve days of Christmas.  Sally
