15 degrees, calm, clear skies.  Partly cloudy today with a gentle NW breeze.  Cloudy tonight with a low of 20,  PM rain tomorrow.  A gentle SSW breeze, a high of 38, a low of 33.  Rain Monday with a strong SSE breeze, a high of 50,  Clouds to partly cloudy Monday night with a stiff SSW breeze, a low of 34.  Partly cloudy Tuesday with a WSW breeze, a high of 46.  Tuesday night's low 26 with a NE breeze.  Freezing rain Wednesday morning becoming all rain in the afternoon with  a strong NE breeze.  Rain/snow Wednesday night  a stiff NW breeze, a low of 33.  Cloudy Thursday with a strong west breeze, a high of 35, a low of 23.  Cloudy Friday with a west wind, a high of 27, a low of 16.  Cloudy next Saturday with a stiff WNW breeze, a high of 23, a low of 11.  Partly cloudy the week starting next Sunday, the 5th.  NW breezes all week, highs in the low twenties, lows from 12 to 8 degrees.

     Yesterday was a quiet day.  Bekah had Levi here in the morning.  He was missing mom and dad, clinging to Bekah.  she took him home about noon, he felt more secure in his own home.  Late afternoon Mom and Dad came home with his new baby brother.

     Jay did odds and ends around the greenhouses.  He cleaned the snow off the little vegetable greenhouse.  It isn't much of a greenhouse but it works great for hardening the vegetable seedlings that do well in cool temperatures.  Tomato and pepper seedlings like to stay in the big warm greenhouse..  Pansies may go in there before the vegetables. This year will be a learning year with the second greenhouse.

      We have a large cupboard in the get together room.  The room doubles as an office, the office supplies are in the cupboard.  On the top half is a family tree showing all the family members.  The bottom 2/3rds is a large calendar with a page for each month.  Yesterday I put up new pages for 2025.  Careful planning is essential to a good greenhouse growing season.  We have a looseleaf  notebook that holds orders and notes for the current year and one previous year.  This year my gift to the greenhouse was Jill Winger's Old Fashioned on Purpose planner/ledger.  It will sit on the table for everyone to write notes in.  Everything from planned planting dates to actual planting dates to how many eggs a day with notes about this or that plant we want more or less of.  Hopefully next year it will be easier to find 2025 notes.  Copies of orders will still be in the looseleaf notebook.
