I spend November closing the summer season and getting ready for Advent during which I prepare my heart for Jesus' birth. In the middle of the month I stop and give thanks for all the blessings I have. I turn on my Christmas lights on the first day of Advent. But if someone wants to turn their lights on before Thanksgiving or put up their tree that's great. Tis not the season to criticize!.
A pile of small, pretty Christmas decorations for wreaths and other greenery are sitting on my desk. They got basic needs at the wreath supply and more goodies at Family dollar. They got home just in time to get to Stetson for an appointment Maegin had to look at a couch. It was just what she wanted. Yesterday afternoon we had an hour of very strong gusts of wind. One of the gusts took a section of the couch off the truck as they passed through an area of open fields just up the road. Thankfully no damage to the section. After giving it a good vacuuming here it went to Maegin's where it fit perfectly.
The highlight of my day was a visit from a man who worked with Darel fencing many years ago as a teenager. I didn't even recognize Dan! He has a family now and is doing well. Darel would be so pleased. Even though it rained early in the morning the day was pleasant for pulling grass out of the flower bed.
May God bless you on this day, Sally
