A break from working on the new greenhouse yesterday. It was Jay's birthday so Bekah took him to breakfast. The rest of the day was spent planting rye to take advantage of this rain. Crane brothers plant right on the corn stover but Jay cleans everything up. Especially where squashes and cucumbers were to get rid of any beetles hiding in the weeds and vines.
Aunt Barbie snagged a beautiful, like new, set of peach bedding for Darel's Grace. She always has her eyes out for things her grand nieces and nephews would like. My great grandchildren that live around here are so blessed to have the love of so many aunts, uncles and cousins. When the school bus stops here so many kids get off it is nearly empty.
I put more bird feeders out yesterday. And weeded around the one cardinal lobelia. I'm hoping to get the perennials weeded and mulched. I'm much better than I was but I tire quickly. The chicadees aren't used to me being in the garden, they scolded me the whole time I was out there.
May God bless you on this day, Sally
