Yesterday was another pleasant summer day.  Harvesting got caught up and there was time for general clean up.  Sometimes things get a mess because picking the vegetables and getting them ready for the stand in between helping customers takes every minute.
Jay gave away an hour or so of his time.  A lady came with her son expecting to see a field of sunflowers.  It was obvious the son had social issues, he was very upset over no field of sunflowers.  Jay showed him the patches of sunflowers we have.  Jay also helped him dig potatoes, pick cucumbers and other vegetables, in general a hands on tour.  The boy had a wonderful time and it made the mother's day.  Everything the boy did had to be extremely neat.  When  he got ready to leave he told Jay that things needed to be cleaned up.  Jay assured him that was on his to-do list.
Raccoons have been eating Doug's blackberries and blueberries.  Now they are into their sweetcorn.  That was a mistake.  It is considered an act of war.  Bekah has some colored corn and field corn for fall decorating.  So far they haven't bothered with it.
Another lovely day before Debby arrives.  I have a pt appointment first thing.  Then I'll work outside, leaving housework for the rain.  Bekah worked on orders yesterday, she'll probably set them aside until tomorrow.
May your day be blessed, Sally
