The weather was beautiful yesterday.  It started out so damp that the hay dried off but didn't cure so they can't make hay today.  Instead they will go to the fair this afternoon.  Jay will stay here until four, closing time and then join them.
Yesterday they rearranged the mums so that each mum had more room.  Even though several have sold they have so many it didn't make much difference room wise.  Their goal is to have some mums starting to bloom Labor Day, others  later.  Some customers want them Labor Day, others don't want them blooming until well into September.
They started pulling the onions.  The sweet Spanish onions are big, just perfect for Labor day grilling.  They are on their last row of potatoes.  Potatoes have grown well this year and sold well.  They planted more rows and still are running out!  People say we grow the best tasting vegetables.  Soil grows the vegetables and we take care of our soil.
Enjoy this beautiful summer day and may God bless you.  Sally
