    I got potatoes planted yesterday.  First I had to clean up  the raised beds.  The chickens were happy, they got lots of tender, young dandelions and other weeds.It isn't supposed to rain but it is very damp out.  I'm hoping to get more outside work done.  Bekah and I are hoping  that a long fall means the flower gardens will go into winter all weeded and mulched. Jay will work on the vegetable gardens.  Last year's cover crop didn't germinate.  They gave us our seed  money back but that didn't help the bare ground.

    Bekah was happy even though she spent most of the day in Bangor.  She got school shopping done well within budget.  She doesn't like going to Bangor but a successful trip makes the day better.
