The weather forecasters can't decide what the weather will be for the Fourth. None of them are predicting a washout so it will be a good day.  The forecasters are having a problem with today.  Will we get a half inch of rain or an inch and a half?  It will be a slow day for us.  I haven't been up very long, no one else is up.  My church service is ealy so I'll be watching church online.
A lot got done in the gardens yesterday.  There is still more to do, always is.  The last of the garlic scapes are on the vegetable stand.  We had fresh cucumbers for supper.  Jay is hoping to pick for the stand Tuesday morning.
Maegin helped me get started on taming the kitchen garden.  I sat on a bucket and weeded around the flowers and she weed whacked the tall grass.  If I can just do a little every day we'll get it back.  I still don't have all my raised beds planted.  I plant potatoes late because I want them for winter and I don't want to deal with the potato bugs.
The day ended on a pleasant note.  It was Doug and Nicole's twentieth anniversary.  They decided to celebrate twenty years of happiness by making it a good day for someone else.  It was special to hear what they were able to do for a homeless lady.God answered her prayers by putting her in the right place and leading them there!
May God bless you on this day, Sally
