Yesterday was Communion Sunday making worship even more special than usual.  The Amish don't have a church, they take turns worshipping in each other's homes.  Yesterday it was the turn of the family that are our neighbors.  On our way to church Annabelle and I passed 17 buggies headed to church.  Some were two buggies close together because the entire family wouldn't fit in one buggy.  Other buggies were larger and pulled with two horses.  On our way home the empty buggies were all lined up and the horses were in the barn.  Noah had come to our farm Saturday evening.  Doug gave him several broken bales to feed the visiting horses.  We are very thankful that the farmland is being bought up by Christian families that are keeping land as producing farms.  Plus they are good neighbors.
The celebration of Tom's life was lovely.  Many friends and a large family with many relatives on both sides made for a packed church.  Lynne's planning made for a meanfuling and beautiful  service.  Tom and Lynne's oldest granddaughter did a slide show for the fellowship afterwards that caused tears , laughter and sparked off "Do you remember" stories.  A talented young lady.
Today is the first Monday the greenhouse/nursery is closed for this season.   Bekah is "celebrating" by cleaning the horse barn and moving the chicks to a larger room.  Jay will be working in the garden.
May God bless you on this day, Sally
