A lady came yesterday and asked Bekah when  she would start selling hanging baskets.  Bekah said she had been selling them for a couple of weeks.  The lady questioned her, there were no blank spaces.  Bekah explained that the baskets are  growing and taking up more room every day.  And everytime a basket leaves Bekah plants another one with plants she has been growing just for making more baskets.  Later this month the snowbirds come back from Florida.  When school gets out people move to camp.  They'll want baskets.  Even by planting a second round she never has enough.
Gilbert planted one of my raised beds with strawberries yesterday.  Today I'll mulch them with the straw I mulched my climbing rose with over winter.  The greenhouse strawberry bed isn't all planted yet.  They try to work on it between customers.  They got their pots of cucumber and squash seeds planted.  Next are pumpkins.  Last are watermelon and cantaloupe.  Those seedlings don't go in the ground until the middle of June.
Bekah took down the brooder yesterday.  The chicks are "teenagers" now with lots of feathers.  There is still a light in their room to warm the room up a little.  Today they get a grown up feeder.
May God bless you on this day, Sally
