Yesterday was a pleasant day but there was a hint of fall in the breeze. Jay and Bekah filled the vegetable stand. Even though we were closed Jay waited on some customers who saw him here. We only have a few elderberry bushes left. It takes two for pollination, three are better. Bekah took the things we had picked up at yard sales down to Maegan's. She and the girls fly in late this afternoon. Both Bekah and I watered late in the day. It is better to water early but we've had so much rain we aren't tuned into plants needing water.
Some land in Bradford has been bought by a man who plans to make homes for the homeless. He sounds good but he has a couple other non profits and a poor reputation. It has caused quite a stir in town. I went to the selectmen's meeting last night and drove right by. The parking lot was full and cars were parked up and down the road. It must have been standing room only. Bradford has a land use ordinance which the property owner has. All the selectmen can do is make sure he doesn't break any laws. People have complained that the ordinance was too restrictive, now some want more restrictions.
May God bless you on this day, Sally
