6/11/23 The Lord does not look at things people look at.  People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart. 1 Samuel 16:7.  Lord please help us to do the same.

.11 of rain overnight.  June's total so far: 3.21.  It is mostly clear, calm and 53 degrees.  Mostly sunny today with a WNW breeze, a high of 77.  Partly cloudy tonight with a light WSW breeze, a low of 53.

Mostly cloudy tomorrow with s SSE breeze, a high of 82. a low of 57.   Rain Tuesday with a stiff ESE breeze, a high of 67, a low of 57.  Possible afternoon showers Wednesday with a brisk SW breeze, a high of 74,  a low of 55.  Scattered thunderstorms Thursday, Friday and Saturday.  A WSW breeze Thursday with a high of 58, a low of 54.  A west breeze Friday with a high of 70, low of 55.  A WNW breeze Saturday with a high of 70, a low of 54.  Possible afternoon showers next Sunday with a brisk north breeze, a high of 70, a low of 53.  Unsettled weather the week of the 19th , not a lot of rain but showers popping up. Highs in the low to high seventies, NW breezes, lows in the mid fifties.

     Jay put in the hoops for the remay to cover the pepper plants.  As he was putting in the last of them he realized the peppers were blossoming and bumblebees were working the blossoms.  Lots of blossoms.  So the peppers will not get covered.  He checked the cucumbers, they have doubled in size but no blossoms.  Lots of new leaves on the zucchini and summer squash but no blossoms.  so they will stay covered.

     Bekah and Darel's Heather rearranged the display area, giving each plant lots of room so that when it isn't raining the breeze can dry out the plants.  In May they were struggling to keep everything watered.  Now  everything is too wet!  They were finally able to get lots of mowing and weed whacking done.  In lots of places the grass was so wet and heavy they had to weed whack before they could mow.

Nicole mowed the cemetery.  She and Gilbert have big zero mowers and can mow when our mowers just bog down.  Gilbert weed whacked the places the mower couldn't do in the cemetery.  This afternoon Violet's stone will be set and flowers planted.  I'll plant some more flowers around Darel's grave.  We'll make sure everything is trimmed around Mitch's grave too.

    Last year everytime you looked out the windows the hummingbirds were swarming the feeders.  This year there are just one or two.  Last year there weren't very many swallows, this year there are lots of them swooping around catching the flies.  All the rain we've had and there aren't many flies.

    Yesterday's sun lifted our spirits.   And today there will be even more sunshine.  Knowing the sun is there behind the clouds isn't enough, we like it to shine on us!  May God bless you on this day, Sally
