The ride to Millinocket was uneventful. They were able to get the wax out of my ear. The doctor said there certainly wasn't enough room for all that wax in there. Some 50 years ago some teenage boys got lost up in the mountains. I was on the search and rescue. We found them, they were ok but cold. We put them on the back of our machines and came down out of the mountain. I was thinking about the boy on my machine, concerned about him staying on and didn't think about the change in air pressure as we snowmachined down. My ear popped and has given me a problem every four or five years since. I would avoid a lot of discomfort if I made sure to get to the doctor as soon as it bothered me. If I had known how pleasant and accommodating Katahdin Health Center would be when I called i would have. My previous provider would have told me I had an appointment May 3rd. If it was an emergency go to the emergency room.
Here at home the sun came out! This spring a sunny afternoon is newsworthy. The tractor tire got fixed, the tiller got hooked up with the new pto shaft. Gilbert's ground is all high so even with the rain it was dry enough to til it last night. We'll check ours today. It would be nice to get the potatoes planted. And have the ground ready for the onion sets. They should be coming any day now. Yesterday morning we got word that another nursery order from the midwest was being shipped. Bekah wanted to add some phlox. i called, they were pulling the order for shipment but could add the phlox. Bekah and Jay got our summer squash and zucchini seeds planted in four inch pots. And started several hundred four inch pots of cucumber, summer squash and zucchini for customers.
May God bless you on this day, Sally
