The gravel is all in place for the baker.  (Baker is apparently a Maine word,  It means lean-to built off the end or side of a building.)  They will finish leveling it this afternoon and put down ground cover,  Building will start in the morning.  They didn't get the gravel all leveled yesterday because they did get new plastic on the hoop house.  Monday they will set up the hoop house furnace, Friday they will move flowers in.  Thursday's low of 20 degrees sets that date.  They could keep it warm enough with the furnace but want to save on propane.  Palm Sunday will use enough propane.  After Palm Sunday pansies can move outside.  Not pansies' cousin violias, they aren't as cold hardy. Calibrachoas will be moved out to their small greenhouse Easter week.  They are almost as cold hardy as pansies.  I'll be able to plant pansies in the church box for Easter.
Why the Amish are building the baker Jay will be cleaning winter's debris from the soil display area and putting down pallets.  Three trucks will be coming that first week in April with our Coast of Maine order and other supplies.  Seeds come that week too.  Bekah will be busy setting up the store for opening on April 10th.
Bekah just put wood on the greenhouse stove,  I see smoke coming out of the  chimney.  They will be using wood to help the propane heat the greenhouse for a while.
Church is canceled this morning.  Roads aren't terrible but neither are they good.  The parking lot will be a slippery mess.
May God bless you on this day, Sally
