Another windy day. Not windy enough to stop the ferry, Doug and Sally Jo were able to deliver the hay. And get back home in time to move the cows around. Mud means moving cows so they aren't in mud. The wind was strong enough here to pop the metal clips holding the new plastic on the hoop house. Jay had to keep after it all day. Today old fashioned lathes will be put on to reinforce the metal clips.
One pair of cardinals must be nesting close by. They are here early every morning, leaving when the grackles come in. They come back late in the afternoon because grackles roost earlier than the other birds. Our other local birds come late in the afternoon too.
I took the propane tank to be filled for the hoop house heater. Plans are to move the pansies on Monday. They will open the back room Monday too. Large flocks of grackles on the fields in Corinth. They can stay in Corinth. I spent quite a bit of time watering plants. For a few days when they moved plants to the greenhouse there weren't so many plants to water in the house. The geraniums and some other plants were brought up from the cellar, now there are plants to water everywhere.
Sally Jo has been helping me go through things upstairs..Last night Kaden loaded the pickup with boxes for the Salvation Army. I'm taking them in today. Cans of spray foam are on sale at Home Depot. I'm going to get some and Andrew is going to fill the eaves with it so the grackeles can't nest in them.
May God bless you on this day, Sally
