3/24/23 A ship is safe in harbor, but tha's not what ships are for.

.59 of rain yesterday.  Broken clouds now with a gentle west breeze, 35 degrees.  sun and clouds today with a light NW wind, a high of 42.  Tonight's low 22 with a stiff NW breeze.  Clouds tomorrow with an ESE breeze, a high of 41.   A low of 32 tomorrow night with 1-3 inches of snow and a WNW breeze.  Intermittent rain Sunday with a north breeze, a high of 42.  Some snow may mix in.  Sunday night's low 32.  Partly cloudy Monday and Tuesday with brisk NW breezes, highs of 44, lows about 27.  Clouds Wednesday with a NNW breeze, a high of 44, a low of 26.  Partly cloudy Thursday with a strong NNW breeze, a high of 42, a low of 26.  Sunshine next Friday with a NW breeze, a high of 44, a low of 29.  Snow to rain next Saturday with a brisk SSE breeze, a high of 42, a low of 32. Partly cloudy next Sunday with a strong NW breeze, a high of 41, a low of 30.  Partly cloudy Monday the 10th with a brisk NW breeze, a high of 45, a low of 31.  Rain showers, some snow may mix in the rest of the week with brisk NW breezes, highs in the mid forties, lows about freezing.. 

      Night time temperatures are going to allow us to move into the back room, small greenhouses and cold frames right on schedule.   Clouds and cool day time temperatures may mean we have to use more supplemental heat than we usually do. Jay got the back room ready to move into yesterday why Bekah transplanted celery and worked on the box that came Wednesday with Darel's Heather.  Jolly Farmer is putting replacement plants in next week's shipment.  By yesterday morning it was obvious that the double impatiens weren't going to make it.

     My blood work shows that I am in good health.  Bullous Phemphigoid is in remission. Now to work on regaining strength and stamina. Phantom pain reminds me when I'm getting overtired and need to rest.  Overtired or overstressed might allow it to return. The doctor says people don't heal from it without lots of medication.  I am blessed to have beaten the odds.

     Grackles and red winged black birds are scouring the melting snow under the feeders for spilled sunflower seeds.  My birds can eat out of the feeders.  Blackbirds get up late and go to roost early giving the local birds a chance to feed without the crowd.
