4/11/22  This summer take advantage of the power of flowers and their innate ability to help us heal, relax, and inspire hope, beauty, and unity. in our hearts

It was cold and windy when I got home from church.  perfect napping weather.  I "napped" for three hours.  When I woke I checked the greenhouses and cold frames again.  Thanks to the wind none of them were warm enough to open up.  Why I was napping lil Andrew dropped off the little propane heater.  Jay and a friend took the bigger heater out and set that one up.  We made plans to move plants today, the little heater puts out enough heat to prevent freezing.  I took the non working heater over to a neighbor who said he'd take it to the shop today.  As I was going to bed I got a text from the neighbor.   He had fixed the heater, brought it over and switched  heaters.  Today we can move any plants we want into the hoop house.  We won't have to wrap them in remay because  we can adjust the bigger heater so they will gradually harden off.  A caring neighbor!
Heather watered the hanging petunias.  They are getting large enough so that even on cloudy days they need water.
The male goldfinches are getting their beautiful golden feathers.  Yesterday I could hear a male cardinal singing for a mate.  I had thought we had a few extra males at the feeders last winter.  Even with the wind today I'm thinking I'll hear peepers tonight.
May God be with you on this day.  Sally
