A very wet day yesterday so no outside work got done. The heater got set up in the hoop house and didn't work. A propane technician neighbor looked at it, he is taking it to the shop Monday. It was new last year, We have a smaller one we'll put out there today.
Heather's Mike fixed the posts Doug put in so we could hang our signs up. He put up the fresh egg sign and was going to put up the seedlings sign. I told him no, they weren't ready to leave our tender loving care yet.
He fixed the hardware for the new County Junction sign. The new sign is finished. Mike gave me a list of bolts and lag screws to get. When he comes next Friday he and Jay will put it up.
Debbie cleaned the head house. it always amazes me what a mess that gets to be over the winter. She got rid of a lot of old stuff, "might come in handy stuff" too. Maegin and I finished pruning the hanging baskets. My shoulders are glad that the job is done and I wasn't taking them down and hanging them back up. More peppers were transplanted too.
The woodchuck ate about half the bubble gum. We haven't seen any more signs of its foraging. The petunias are getting new growth. We are hoping it stays that way!
The sun is breaking through the fog. It looks like a pleasant spring day is starting. Yesterday was cold, wet and raw. The wood stove and electric heaters ran all day. We are open nine to four Saturdays.
May God be with you on this day, Sally
