3/11/22 Being family isn't just the DNA, it is what's in the heart

Fair, calm. 30 degrees. When I walk out to the greenhouse to put wood on the fire tomorrow morning at this time it will be dark. I am not a daylight savings time fan.  Some sun this morning, overcast this afternoon.  A SSE breeze today with a high of 46.  Some rain tonight with a SSE breeze, a low of 32.  Rain tomorrow with a NNE wind, a high of 40.  An inch , more or less, of snow tomorrow evening. It will  become windy as the storm pulls away.  a low of 17.  More snow is forecast just north of us.  Sunny Sunday with a strong WNW wind, a high of 27, a low of 14.  Partly cloudy Monday with a stiff SW breeze, a high of 43, a low of 30.  Morning clouds/afternoon sun Tuesday with a brisk WNW breeze, a high of 46, a low of 23.  Partly cloudy Wednesday with a WSW breeze, a high of 44, a low of 31.  Cloudy Thursday with a stiff SSW breeze, a high of 52, a low of 37.  Morning clouds, afternoon sun next Friday with a WNW breeze, a high of 55, a low of 34.  Some rain/snow showers next Saturday with a Stiff NE breeze, a high of 44, a low of 32.  Partly cloudy next Sunday for the arrival of spring.  A west breeze with a high of 47, a low of 31. Lots of clouds for the first week of spring with WNW breezes, highs in the mid forties, lows around freezing.

We can leave the hose out days thanks to the warmer temperatures.  We wouldn't  be able to Sunday but we try not to have to water Sundays.  Next Wednesday we'll stop rolling it up at night.  We'll let it run a little so it doesn't freeze. In the greenhouse we'll put baskets of impatiens on the buckets that are holding water now.
The three boxes of plants came last night.  Since they were supposed to come Wednesday yesterday  was a slow day   Heather and Bekah spent some time on house plants.  No news on Violet's scans yet.
Lil Andrew did some work on my kitchen and bathroom ceilings so he can paint them for me.  He put up an LED plant light in the bathroom.  Monday I'll take the towels out of the window and put ivy back on the sill.  That window lets in cold north winds if I don't block them with towels.  I'll put herbs under the new light.
I'm seeing less of the cardinals.  We don't have enough cover for them to nest in the kitchen garden. So as soon as they get ready to start families they leave,  Now I see them very early and at dusk.  In a few weeks I won't see them at all..  I had to sand the back deck.  It is the only place where there is any ice left.  I'm hoping Saturday's rain will take away that ice and the rest of the skunk smell.
May God be with you this day, Sally
