Another quiet day. It didn't start too well with a burned out light bulb and a frozen pipe in the barn. A new bulb thawed it, no leaks, so we had water again. Cindy and I went to Corinth in the morning for a few groceries, some picture frames, and a stop at the hardware store. I got paint for Heather to use on the new sign and some brads to put up more weather strippping in the greenhouse. Cindy worked on the picture wall in the afternoon. I found five peegee hydrangeas. I'm having to take delivery of them next week but with the greenhouse starting I can find a cool place to hold them until spring. I tried to find some chestnut crab apples but no luck.
Cindy and I spent a lot of time at the window watching the birds. We had four male cardinals yesterday! We never were sure we saw four females at once. We got a covering of snow in the afternoon, enough so now we can't see where the ice is.
We will start the fires Wednesday. We'll take advantage of Wednesday's warmth to fill all the water barrels. A warm day to run the water the first time will make it so much easier! We may take some seedlings out to the greenhouse too. After Wednesday there aren't any days nice enough to move plants for a while.
Church this morning, Countryside for lunch, no afternoon plans. May God be with you this day, Sally
