10/29/21  You will not learn much n life if you think you are right all the time'

Some showers the week of November 8th with NW breezes, highs about 46, lows in the low thirties.

It is down to 35 now.  I covered the winter squash with quilts.  Even though we didn't get frost they don't need to be chilled.  A lot have sold, what is left will go to the food cupboard Monday.
Debbie spent the day canning.  I made an early run to Dover for jars.  She'll do more canning today.  She is going to help me plastic the chicken's windows.  The weather report says they won't get too warm. It also says next week  I may want to start the pellet stove for a few hours in the morning.
I spent several hours cutting down the morning glory vines and taking them to the compost pile.  Every fall I say, "this is too much work, I won't plant so many next year."  Every spring I choose to forget.  This year was even worse because I didn't get out there to pull the volunteers that grew from last year's seeds.. Until last week they sure were pretty. The cows have cleaned up the sunflowers in the Maze so the birds will be glad to see all the feeders up and filled.  They've been cleaning out the few feeders I had in the open and eating suet.
I think we'll plant garlic today.  May God be with you this day, Sally
