Darel had a good day yesterday, so good he called Henry in Conn. himself, remembering the number.  Three days at the top of the roller coaster!
It has not been a very good night.  I put wood on the fires at eleven thirty, all was well despite high winds.  power started flickering at twelve thirty  but we were fortunate and didn't lose it.  Checked the tarp o  the cold frame, it was still good. When i went out to put wood on the fires at two thirty it was off.  I don't think the plats froze.  I got it back on and tied down.  Checked the water, it was just barely running even when I turned it on full bore.  At four it was still running a little, just checked it and it is froze.  I thought I had it running more than necessary and turned it down.  should have left it alone.  I'm not sure it will thaw today with the temperature only in the thirties and the wind. Getting it inside will be a major hassle.
We got a lot done in the greenhouse yesterday.  Lots of rearranging to give the hanging waves more room and lots of the waves pruned.  Sally Jo transplanted more marigolds.  How much we get done today will depend on what I decide to do about the hose.  I'd like to go see how the plants in the cold frame look but don't think I should open it.  Although the wind has died down, from 20-30 mph with higher gusts to 8-10mph.
If it doesn't pick back up we may see a warmer high temperature.  the forecast says it will pick back up.
     Have a good day, Sally
