Darel had a quiet comfortable day yesterday. So much riding Tuesday he was content to relax in his chair.
I watered, "I watered", goes without saying for nearly every day from here on out. I planted some cosmos seeds and have two trays ready for late seeds like zinnias. I love bright zinnias, so do the pollinators, so i plant several different kinds. Sally Jo and JR covered two more low hoop houses. Today the perennials go in them to harden off. Pansies and the open sign go out today. My petunias go out today. Cooler days will slow them down but the customer's petunias need the room. The big pots of petunias will go out with relay on them.
Last year i had tomato hornworms in the hoop house. I've never had them before. They winter in the ground. One way to control them is to keep them their. I was giving some landscape fabric which i don't like. But it will work fine to trap the worms in the ground. As soon as the pansies go out it will go down on the side where they are. Than we'll move the petunias over to that side and put it down on the other side. I'm going back to putting my tomato plants in 7 galleon pots. Changing the soil will be much easier.
Already above freezing, so nice that the sun is shining this morning. I'm expecting to have a great day, i hope you do too. Sally
