4/14/19
Be a reflection of what you'd's like to receive.  if you want love, give love.  if you want respect, give respect.  What you give will come back.

Some clouds, 44 degrees with a light south breeze.  Lots of clouds today with a WNW breeze, a high of 57 and a low of 41 tonight with rain.  Rain tomorrow, especially in the morning, with a south breeze, a high of 55, dropping to 37 tomorrow night with showers.  Cloudy Tuesday with NW winds, a high of 47 and a low of 33.  Sunny Wednesday with a brisk NNW breeze, a high of 53 and a low of 29.  Showers Thursday afternoon through Good Friday, Easter weekend and Monday, the 22ed.  Highs will be close to sixty.  Thursday night's low will be 39. Good Friday's low 53 and Saturday's low 48.  Sunday and Monday's lows will be in the lower forties.  Mostly cloudy Tuesday, the 23,  partly cloudy Thursday, then showers through the weekend of the 27th and 28th.  Highs are forecast to be in the fifties and lows in the upper forties.
Darel had a very quiet day yesterday.  Sally Jo and I were very busy with the greenhouse, we got lots checked off the to do list.   He was glad when Doug showed up to visit in the afternoon.  I was glad because Doug bought piazza for supper,.  I was able to finish my Sunday School lesson so we could take it over to the church and end the day with a stop at the creamery.
Sally Jo got all caught up on the pruning.  The hanging geraniums are so pretty and all speed out so they will be nicely shaped.  Lots of black and coral petunias, a favorite combination.  And the red, white and blue petunias for flag poles are perfect!  I've got some pieces of clear plastic.  Today I'm going to put them around our flag pole so the soil will warm up quicker.  It will be nice to have the petunias planted around the pole for Open Greenhouse Day.  I give Bradford petunias for their flag pole and other towns and schools get a 10% discount.
I can't tell if my garden pond still has ice.  that area is just one large pond.  It drains across the road and the culvert is frozen.  The lawn pond went down a lot overnight, maybe it did too.
I did not put out any sunflower seeds yesterday, most of the day the entire back yard was black with a very large flock of blackbirds.  A nuthatch and a chickadee slipped in for some suet, none of the other birds came near.
Everything got watered restored day.  That is a big job now.  This afternoon I'll be able to work on my yard.  Perhaps I'll find some crocus showing little green shoots.
Have a Blessed Sunday, Sally
