2/15/19
Every student can learn.  Just not on the same day or in the same way.

Clouds, gentle east breeze and 13 degrees.  1-3 inches of snow this afternoon with an ESE wind.  Rain this evening with a high of 38 degrees.  Rain stopping about midnight as the wind shifts to the SW and the temperature drops to 25.  Mostly cloudy tomorrow with a WNW breeze, a high of 34 and a low of 10.  Pleasant Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday with NW breezes, highs in the twenties and lows in the low single numbers.  1-3 inches of snow Thursday with a north breeze, a high of 21 and a low of 8.  Partly cloudy Friday with a NW breeze, a high of 30 and a low of 12.  Snow showers are forecast every day the last week of February.  No sun to help warm the greenhouse but highs will be in the thirties.  Lows will be in the teens.
Darel had a quiet, pleasant day yesterday.  Doug bought him a meat ball sandwich that he enjoyed.  As well as some valentine sweet rolls.  A little "event" Tuesday left his voice very weak but it seems to be getting stronger.
I hurt some when I left the doctor which often happens if my back is way out of whack.  But I felt much better a few hours later and got busy making Valentine sweet rolls.  Managed to get a pan made for everyone and all but Mike stopped by for theirs.  He'll be here this morning to bring in pellets.
Andrew was here early in the day shoveling.  he went home and banked his trailer more with the new snow.  He came back to see if there was more shoveling after jR finished with the tractor.  But JR is pretty clever with the tractor, no clean up shoveling.  JR said he had to be very careful on the east side of the greenhouse, the snow had a 2 inch layer of ice in it.  He didn't want the ice to slice the plastic.  More snow on the west side but no ice.  It took him long enough so he didn't do the stove pipe.  He'll do that Sunday.
Yesterday that second large flock of grosbeaks came by.  I'm glad they only visit when we get a storm.
I'm going to repot some house plants this afternoon.  Sally Jo wants some spider plant babies.  I want to start some to use in containers in May.  I have a hoya that is too pot bound, I have to water it with ice cubes every day.  Once I get busy in the greenhouse I may forget.  I can slip it if anyone would like some.
      Enjoy your day, Sally
