Yesterday Darel had another good day.  He's thinking maybe at least a ride to the store this afternoon.
A good day yesterday.  Three female cardinals showed up!  Not very many evening grosbeaks  came.  And a good night last night, the temperature was 60 all night on the cool end of the greenhouse.  I got up every two and a half hours instead of two and a quarter.  With no wind  the men keeping the roads open were able to get a night's sleep.  I see a nap in my afternoon.
On a down side Andrew's water froze up Tuesday night.  When he came down to carry enough water so we would have wet soil to work with today it still wasn't thawed.  He hung up one row of hanging plants, purple waves.  Lots of help and better weather should mea lots of planting gets done.  We'll be able to run the hose for water today.  Probably so much water that I'll still be running the propane heater in addition to the wood stoves.  Just the 12 buckets  Andrew carried in cooled the greenhouse down a few degrees.
The University of Presque Isle Dean's list came out.  Tiffany made the high honors list, her boyfriend made the highest honors list.
I'll be plating more seeds today.  In just four weeks we'll be thinking about opening the back room and moving into the cold frames!  Some seeds like cleome that need to think they've spent a winter in the soil will be planted and put on the shelves in the back room.
       Enjoy your day, Sally
