Darel had a very good day yesterday. He felt good and great visiting. Friends from college days stopped by. He and Ray room together and worked together fencing for years. Darel stayed with Ray and Merry when he built fence in NY. Later in the afternoon a summer neighbor who we haven't seen for three years because he has been teaching in Seattle came by. He has a job in NC now so they will be our summer neighbors again. We topped off the day with a visit to the Creamery.
I replanted cucumbers yesterday, eighty plants, just over half died. gilbert thinks lack of water. If someone uses water in a different part of the gardens the water pressure drop there. he thinks i turned the water on and they didn't get much water.. I wonder if that late frost got them, we didn't get the remay on until the day after planted. People are still buying cucumber plants, I have very few now. Even with spending most of yesterday planting cucumbers I'm hoping to be through planting vegetables in the next day or so.
Have a good day, Sally
