A hot muggy day yesterday. So hot that when Debbie finished watering I suggested she call it a day. We cleaned up the display area why she waited for David to pick her up, tossing a few sad annuals. Tiffany changed the ice in the coolers, got out a few more coolers. She got out the bags of jugs, washed them off, and filled them. With the finding of two cucumbers big enough to pick we know the season will soon be in full swing. We are getting enough summer squash and zucchini so they each need their own cooler. The lettuce has bolted in this heat, so no lettuce for awhile. We have several six packs of lettuce started, perhaps it will be cooler when they get larger.
Rosemarie wasn't here. After sitting in the doctor's office for a couple of hours Thursday afternoon they asked Dale if he could come back yesterday morning. We had a some customers but not too many. There aren't too many like me, still planting. I did manage to get quite a few flowers planted. This morning I'll mulch around the edge and put up a small fence. the chickens could hop over it but it doesn't take much to deter them where they have the whole farm to roam.
Heather's youngest is getting married today so I am leaving about two. Darel isn't going to try to go. Standing up after sitting in a folding chair doesn't happen and he can't navigate any steps. I am so glad the thunderstorms are moved to tomorrow so Kristen doesn't have to move things inside.
Have a good day, Sally
