7/1/16
Good humor makes all things tolerable.

Calm and sunny, 62 degrees on its way to 82 degrees this afternoon, dropping to 59 tonight.  A south breeze today with a few clouds.  Morning thunderstorms tomorrow with a west wind, a high of 76 and a low of 52.  Sunny Sunday with a west wind, a high of 76 and a low of 54.  Sunny Monday, July 4th, with a WNW wind, a high of 80 and a low of 56.  Sunny Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday with highs of 86 and lows about 58.  Tuesday's NW breeze will switch to a SW breeze and continue from the SW for several days.Partly cloudy next Friday with a high of 83 and a low of56.  Partly cloudy next Sunday with a high of 80 and a low of 56.  Showers next Sunday lasting into Monday, the 11th, morning.  Highs for both days will be about 80 with lows of 58.  Highs for the rest of the week will be in the eighties with scattered thunderstorms and showers the end of the week.
Tiffany and i started the day weeding and pulling bamboo behind the house.  About every two weeks we have to tackle the bamboo again.  Rachel planted the planter boxes that will go in front of the barn after they get the hay in.  The girls spent the rest of their day mulching the garden.  We don't want to lose any of that precious moisture!
I dusted for cucumber beetles than planted more flowers and other odd jobs.  Last night I moved the pullets to their grown up home.  A few customers came for odds and ends.  Gilbert sprayed for cucumber beetles last night.  We don't put dust on any plants with blossoms because it might harm the bees.  The spray is only good for six hours so we use it after the bees go to bed.  By the time they get up it isn't toxic.
Puttin a new roof on the big barn has been a work in progress the last few years as Doug had tiem and money.  As of yesterday the job is finihed..  It looks good and now leaks on the hay!
A beautiful day is starting,  we should get lots done.  Enjoy your day, Sally
