No one goes his way alone. All that we send into the lives of others comes back into our own.
59 degrees, fog with a gentle south breeze. Sun with a stiffer west breeze this afternoon, a high of 83 and a low of 53 tonight. Mostly sunny tomorrow with a NNE breeze, a high of 75 and a low of 47. Mostly sunny Thursday with a stiff SSE breeze, a high of 71 and a low of 46. Friday is the beginning of a weather pattern that will give us about two weeks of cool damp weather. As I plant my cucumbers I am covering them with an ag fabric to keep them warm. Showers on Friday with a south breeze, a high of 61 and a low of 52. This weekend will be warm with highs in the mid seventies and lows about 50. Possible showers Saturday afternoon lasting into Sunday morning. Rain on Monday with an ESE breeze, a high of 66 and a low of 51. Light rain Tuesday with a WNW breeze, a high of 61 and a low of 49; Partly cloudy Wednesday with a NW breeze, a high of 66 and a low of 48.Showers the rest of the week with highs in the upper sixties and lows in the upper forties. Still showers in the forecast for the 13th and 14th but warmer temperatures.
We all put "stuff" away in the get-together room why we got a tenth of an inch of rain yesterday morning. There is a table in here! Than i planted summer squash and more cucumbers. Debbie and Tiffany covered the zucchini, squash and cucumber with remay (ag fabric). The fabric will protect them from the wind and cucumber beetles and keep them warmer than the air temperature the next few week. Rosemarie took care of customers.
I finally got my compost tea maker up and running. As usual it took me loner than I expected. It has to run 24 hours before i can start using it. Or selling it. I got new supplies a week or so ago.
Last night Gilbert put down more black plastic. I can plant another row of cucumbers and a row of tomatoes. i don't have enough fabric to put any over the tomatoes. Up here on the top of this hill we are often a few degrees warmer. I hope so, tomatoes don't like it below fifty. At least the black plastic will prevent the cool breezes from cooling off the soil. The breezes blow away the black flies but they also lower our soil temperature.
Have a good day, Sally
