We are not a product of our circumstances. we are a product of our decisions.

Darel's birthday party went great. A few were missing because they had to work, Austin had National Guard drill. But with such a large family it is a blessing when so many can get together. My sole contribution was the lemonade. Mike and Andrew maned the grill. After he ate Gilbert rearranged the hanging baskets so each one had room. Than he bought Carol's glad bulbs up from the cellar.
No blanketing plants last night. i closed everything up and went to bed early and slept late this morning. I did get up at one and start a fire in the greenhouse. Can't let those little tomato plants get chilled!
Darel has an eye exam this morning. The doctor will be dilating his eyes so I need to go with him to drive home. When I get home I'll mulch the onions, the rain will wet it down so it won't blow. Gilbert took the perennials out of one small greenhouse so we can fill it with cucumber, squash and pumpkin seedlings. Tomorrow we
ll empty a cold frame of perennials so we can fill it with broccoli, cabbage and such.
Have a good day, Sally
