I need to water the flowers outside on the display tables.  I will get out there and do it quickly before the sun warms the air enough to wake the black flies.  They haven't bee bad but we know there are always a few days that they are., even on this usually breezy hill. I think the next few days are the days  I've saved jobs to do that they won't be able to bother us too much.  I'm so glad to see a change in the weather that I won't complain.
I will start planting my flowers. Most of the flowers were out in Monday's cold wind but they look fine.  We had to take the impatiens inside.  They will go back out today.  It is time to plant celery and the cole crops.  By the weekend the soil will be warm enough to plant beans.  Because I'm expecting a hot, dry summer I'm mulching everything and planting soaker hoses with my vegetables.  My onions look good.  I think I'm going to put more straw on them.  The soaker hose I put on them has a leak that I need to  fix.  A hot dry summer means no leaking hoses allowed.
    Enjoy your day, Sally
