Not a good day for flowers yesterday.  The wind blew cold and raw with  twenty to twenty-five mph gusts until late in the day.  I had very little frost damage but the wind damaged some flowers.  Carol walked out to the garden and decided she didn't want to plant glads.  May 10th and Darel is still taking wood to the greenhouse!  Making up for the mild winter I guess.
I decided washing dishes by hand after the dishwasher had washed them had gone on long enough.  The dishwasher was about fifteen years old so it had served us well.  I looked in consumer's guide, found the washer I wanted and called around until I found a store that had it in stock.  Some day this week Andrew or Gilbert will install it.  The sun and stiff breezes to blow away black flies makes outside work a probity the next few days.  Andrew is doing a roof, he had been dreading the black flies.  Even yesterday was good as he worked on the side away from the wind.
I'm so looking forward to today's sun and warmth.  I hope your day is pleasant also, Sally
