It always seems like around the spring equinox winter returns, just struggling to let go. I'm glad I didn't take the straw off my tulips. But the forecast says pansies can go out for Easter, if they are in bloom. Some of the hanging pansies are blooming. Plants and people would like some sun! I spent yesterday rearranging the greenhouse to make room for the boxes coming in this week. A week from today pansies will be going out if they are blooming or to cold frames. We'll be filling the back room. Tiffany has been potting perennials, they will go to the perennial cold frame, with a blanket handy incase there is a cold snap. For now they are going under the benches. I had put some tubs of compost in the hoop house last fall. She used it up. I was able to go get six more tubs of thawed compost off the compost pile. Without getting the tractor stuck!
I need to make cookies. As the grandkids and neighbor kids who live on the "mud closed" Atkinson Road walk up here to catch the school bus some have found out the best way is through our back door and out our front door, past the cookie jar.
Have a good day, Sally
