Show respect even to people who don't deserve it. Not as a reflection of their character but of yours.

Back to seasonable weather. Will the sap still run after the warm nights like last night? I don't mind the cooler temperatures but the plants in the greenhouse would like some sun. Local birds are the only ones at the feeders except for a flock of grackles that comes by and cleans all the platform feeders off. I don't put out seeds until late afternoon, just in time for the cardinals.
The warm weather is making the length of time the back roads are bad last a long time. Atkinson road kids must walk up here to catch the bus, it won't go down that road. The mail lady and UPS leave people's mail and packages here.
Many of my winter letters came back, incorrect address. The clerk at the town hall told me sending out tax notices was a headache for the some reason. Bradford's snow plow operator seems to have an affinity for mailboxes. Nothing can be done about it, they are in the right of way. Occasionally the former operator got one but this one gets them all the time. Many people have given up and gotten PO boxes and canceled their newspaper. Tiffany spent a lot of time deleting names from our mailing list. We will set up a display this year asking people to sign up with new addresses. Brownville no longer maintains some roads as a cost cutting measure so those people have had to get PO boxes.
This is the week we start getting creative in the greenhouse, making room. The last two boxes of plugs and cuttings come tomorrow. This year I think we will be able to move into the back room and cold frames early, around Easter. I think pansies can go out for Easter if they are in bloom.
Have a good day, Sally
