We didn't do anything special for the holiday. Jay and Darel went with Maegin to get the trailer steps. And the cinder blocks but someone had taken them. They also stole a very nice firepit the land owner had. Half of the trailer has new wiring, Maegin has to have the other half rewired. A couple windows need to be replaced. The skirting was not savagelbe. Thanks to some thieves she now has to buy cinder blocks also.
Heather came to do books. She and Mike had a good trip to Alaska, just too short. They enjoyed the state fair, more like Maine fairs used to be, Keith told them stories about how involved we were with the fair years ago. Darel was Open Class Livestock superintendent, I was 4-H livestock superintendent. We lived at the fair, just going home to do chores. Keith has been telling lots of stories. When Kevin and Keith were visiting here my grandchildren came to me and asked "Did you really race snowmachines?" I assured them I had. Their amazement made me wish I hadn't left my trophies behind when we moved from Alaska.
Another long range winter forecast has been published in one of the farm magazines. Just the opposite of other long range forecasts. This one is for several periods of cold and snow starting earlier than the last few years. Time will tell. May your day be blessed, Sally
