Another load of hay went into the barn.  i cleaned up the chaff that spilled around the conveyor, the hens love 2ed cut chaff, very tender.
Bekah spent much of the day harvesting and drying herbs.  Some came from the gardens, some were foraged "weeds" that have medicinal uses.  It has been so dry that the herbs dry quickly.  We started the cookrange.  Not only was the house warm this morning but we can dry herbs on the herb dryer hanging over the cookrange.  There is lots of parsley to dry.  The wood cook range will cook our food, heat our water, dry our herbs and keep us warm!  It didn't take the dog and cats to claim a spot right in front of the stove, under foot.
This week is canning tomato week.  They will be picking everyday.  A five gallon bucket for twenty dollars.  About 30 pounds of tomatoes.
May your day be blessed, Sally
