8/12/25  The only place where success comes before work is in the dictionary.

Clear, calm, 68 degrees.  Continued hot, a high of 97 today with a SW breeze.  low tonight 63.  Sunshine tomorrow with a strong South breeze, high 94, low 66.  Cloudy Thursday, high 82, low 58, a west breeze.  55% chance of thunderstorms. Sunshine Friday and Saturday.  Friday's 82, low 58, a north breeze.  Saturday's high 85, low 59, a SSW breeze.  Partly cloudy Sunday, a stiff WSW breeze, high 84, low 55. Mostly Sunny Monday through next Thursday. Brisk NNW breezes Monday and Tuesday, highs 73, lows 49.  NW breezes Thursday and Friday, highs 79, lows 53.  Partly cloudy Friday the 22ed through Tuesday the 26th.  WSW breezes Friday through Sunday, highs 79, lows 56.  West breezes Monday the 25th, high 82, low 56.  WNW breezes Tuesday the 26th, high 77, low 53.

    So hot yesterday.  Everyone watered. Then they harvested. We spent the rest of the day inside.  Gilbert bought bags of stuffed animals from a tenant.  New animals she had collected over the years.  The kids each got to choose two, including neighbor kids.  Some went to  friends to give away.  The girls went through some school clothes that had been passed down.  Bekah is trying to get next spring's plant orders done by the end of the week.

   Jay is sold out of potatoes until the second crop is ready.  Gilbert dug some of his.  Some for the stand and some for us to use.  He has the best crop of potatoes he has ever had.  More than his family can use.

All the family will be here for lots of meals when the Alaskans get here.  We'll  go through lots of potatoes.
