Grandkids and Great grandkids went to the ocean after church.. They got home about 8:30 and had a wonderful time. Jay watered yesterday morning, they'll be doing lots of watering the next few days. Mike bought a load of firewood Stacking that will top the todo list. We have tables and chairs outside, we also put tables and chairs inside the garage out of the sun. Next weekend we will need the room the wood is now taking up.
Heather and Mike came out, Heather does the nursery books. This week she is going to make oatmeal cookies so the cookie jars will stay full. I make molasses cookies. No one makes oatmeal cookies as good as Heather's. On the 24th Heather and Mike are going to Alaska. They'll get to see the new grandbabies! Sally Jo's baby is due this week. She is hoping he comes on time so her uncles can meet him.
The Joe Pye weed isn't as tall as it usually is, shorter by at least a third. It is blooming. It is supposed to bloom in September. The plan is for it to provide food for the pollinators when summer flowers slow down. Gilbert is pulling his onions today. Garlic was ready to harvest two weeks early. A plus, nature provided plenty of dry air, we didn't need to use fans to dry the garlic.
Clothes are ready to hang on the line. They will dry quickly. I want to water my flowers early why it is cool. May your day be blessed, Sally
