 8/13/25

The backbone of this country is often on a tractor or behind a team of horses by sunrise.

Sunshine, calm, 67 degrees.  Sun and clouds today with a stiff south breeze, high 94.  Clouds and fog tonight, low 67. Scattered thunderstorms tomorrow.  It was up to a 72% chance, this morning it has dropped to 44%.  Tomorrow's high 81, low 56.  A NNW breeze.  Sunshine Friday and Saturday.  A NNE breeze Saturday, high 85, low 51.  A brik south breeze Saturday, high 85, low 59.  Partly cloudy Sunday morning, occasional showers in the afternoon.  A WSW breeze, high 86, low 53.  Partly cloudy Monday, Tuesday and next Wednesday with NNW breezes. Monday's high 75, Tuesday's 71, Wednesday's 75.  Lows about 50. Mostly sunny Thursday the 21st and Friday the 26th with NNW breezes, Thursday's high 76, low 50.  Friday's high 80. low 54.  Partly cloudy the weekend of the  23rd and 24th and Monday the 25th.  Mostly west breezes, highs around 80, lows 55. Morning fog, afternoon sun the 26th and 27th, west breezes, highs 79, lows 54.

Watering continues because of the heat, harvesting continues in spite of it.   We're looking forward to tomorrow's cooler temperatures.  We're hoping the NNW breezes don't bring in Canadian smoke.  The big cooler is full of cucumbers again.  Tomatoes are ripening.  Our Alaska family is looking forward to tomato sandwiches, sliced tomatoes on yeast rolls just out of the oven.  Now if the chickens would just lay more eggs!
I dropped off boxes and bags at Goodwill yesterday.  And stocked up on groceries at Sam's.  My sister Donna flies in today, Sister Lynne is picking her up from the airport, she is staying with Lynne.    I'll get the rest of what I need at Shaws when I go to Lynne's tonight to visit.
I'm going to do some outside things now because it is cool.  May your day be blessed, Sally
