Yesterday made up for a slow Monday at the vegetable stand. As fast as Jay harvested more vegetables they sold. A few tomatoes are ripening, selling as soon as they are put out. Jay and Bekah get their sweetcorn from an Amish family. They say the corn is almost ripe. Watering started early and continued late. Bekah put by some cucumber relish and dilly beans.
Maegin scored on her way home from town yesterday. A four foot wide, six foot tall set of shelves were by the road with a free sign. Today when I get home from PT our paper products are going on it. We buy them in bulk, it will be nice to have them neatly in one place.
We buy fly predators to help the swallow control flies. About every three weeks we get a shipment. Once or twice a season we get a double shipment. We use the same schedule every year. This year it seemed like we should have scheduled the double shipment a week earlier. One of our customers uses the same predators, she says the same thing. How do you know when the summer peak is in April when ordering? We have to go with the average. Even with the double coming a week late people comment on how few flies we have.
May your day be blessed, Sally
