4/30/25 Take rest; a field that has rested gives a bountiful crop.

Mostly clear, A NW breeze, 56 degrees.  Sunshine today with a high of 57.  Strong NW winds with higher gusts. Partly cloudy tonight with a NW wind, a low of 35.  Sunshine tomorrow with a WNW breeze, a high of 64, a low of 43.  Occasional showers late Thursday night.  Occasional showers Friday and Friday evening, fog Friday night.  A brisk SSE breeze with a high of 51.a low of 48.  Occasional showers Saturday afternoon and night. A west breeze with a high of 64, a low of 47.  Morning showers Sunday with a brisk WNW breeze, a high of 63, a low of 40.  A north breeze Monday, the beginning of Open Greenhouse Week. A high of 62, a low of 41.  Partly cloudy Tuesday with a stiff south breeze, a high of 65, a low of 49.  Occasional morning showers next Wednesday with a brisk west breeze, a high of 63, a low of 48..  Clouds with some sun next Thursday, Friday, and Saturday with brisk NW breezes. highs of 64.  Lows about 45 Thursday and Friday, a low of 48 Saturday.  Mostly cloudy on Sunday May 11th, Mother's Day.  A stiff NW breeze with a high of 66, a low of 47. Partly cloudy the 12thh, 13th, and 14th with NW breezes, highs about 68, lows about 47.

     Yesterday was another beautiful day with a high of 80.  We didn't get the pond pumps in.  We realized they both needed new mesh filter bags. I ordered them, they'll be here Friday.  Msegin cleaned the trash out of the garden pond.  It needs more water before we put the pump in.  I took some pieces of pond lilies from the garden pond and planted them in the kitchen garden pond.  I don't think the lilies in that pond made it through the winter.  After she got the pond cleaned out Maigin started redoing the landscaping around it.  I was sad to see what that December storm did to the summersweet bush.  We decided not to try to prune it until it leaves out.  A big part of it is laid over, there probably will be some heavy pruning.

     Bekah and Doug delivered a load of hay early.  Soon as she got back she started watering.  Jay put  new mulch around the perennials in between waiting on customers.  We all took a long lunch to visit with a  friend we hadn't seen in some time.  Then she checked out everything new and got some flowers.

    The strawberries, blueberries and asparagus will get  here via Fedex  today.  The Prides Corner Farm order is scheduled to be delivered between 3 and 5 tomorrow.  The large bareroot nursery order that includes the Fruit trees will be delivered sometime Friday.
