The rain waited until late afternoon.  Annabelle and Raegan got off the school bus and we headed right to church with pansies for the church box.  They got  the pansies planted, the rain last evening watered them in nicely.
Today is clean the cook range and chimney day.  I was probably about ten when I learned how to clean my mother's cook range.  It has been my job ever since.  Except for a year when Darel was stationed in Anchorage we have always had a wood cook range.  Times are changing, Bekah cleaned the cook range this morning.  Maegin made breakfast on the electric range.  I did collect the eggs!  I didn't hear the male cardinal this morning.  Did he find a mate?
I ordered some bright colored yarrow seeds yesterday.  Planting peppermint and yarrow around the house foundation is supposed to repel all rodents, not just skunks.  I have a David phlox in the corner where the skunk was last winter.  Yarrow will look pretty around the white phlox.
Gilbert just came and got Jay to help him move furniture out of their front room.  He and Barbie are going to refinish a table that survived the neighbor's fire with just some smoke damage.  The easiest place to refinish it is the front room!  The insurance company is moving slowly.   By the time Bj and Randa have their new doublewide Gilbert and Barbie will have the table done.
May your day be blessed, Sally.
