I'm not sure if it happened, Josephine was supposed to fly home to Alaska last night.  She is doing well.
My foot is doing well also.  My doctor was pleased with the response to the antibiotic.  Just to be certain she wasn't missing anything she had a specialist look at it too.  He agreed, but said it should be checked ten days or so after I finished the antibiotics.  I already had an appointment.
When I came home I went out to the hen house to put down a layer of straw.  When it warms up after a long cold spell the bedding is suddenly damp.  The hens were already scratching in a deep bed of new straw.  Bekah had had the same idea.  I filled the nest boxes with soft second cutting hay that had spilled when they loaded a trailer.  Hopefully they are so happy they start laying more eggs!  The other animals and birds are all enjoying the temperature change.  So are we!  Bekah just turned down her pellet stove.
The girls carried some of the seedlings Heather is starting for early bouquets out to the greenhouse yesterday.  It didn't freeze in the greenhouse last night, nor will it tonight.  The fires will be started tomorrow.  The plants wane the light of the greenhouse.  They are sweet peas and ranunculus so they will be in the coolest section of the greenhouse.
May your day be blessed, Sally
