2/28/25  “A happy marriage consists of two good forgivers.”

A skiff of snow last night.  clouds, calm, 29 degrees.  Some sun today with a strong WNW wind.  This morning's high 35, the afternoon high 25, tonight's low 15.  An ENE breeze tonight with snow showers accumulating less than an inch.  Snow to rain tomorrow, a brisk south breeze with a high of 18.  Clear tomorrow night with a stiff WNW breeze, a low of 9.  Sunshine Sunday with a light NW wind, a high of 18.  -3 Sunday night.  Sunshine Monday with a NW breeze, a high of 22, a low of 7.  Cloudy Tuesday with a SW breeze, a high of 37, a low of 29.  Rain/snow Wednesday with a SSE breeze, a high of 42, a low of 41.  Showers Thursday with a brisk SW breeze, a high of 47, a low of 22.  Partly cloudy next Friday with a strong WWNW wind, a high of 33, a low of 20.  Partly cloudy next Saturday, Sunday, and Monday with strong NW breezes, highs about 33, lows about 18.  Partly cloudy Tuesday the 11th with a strong WNW breeze, a high of 36, a low of 25.  Mostly cloudy Wednesday the 12th with a stiff west breeze, a high of 41, a low of 30.  Showers Thursday the 13th with a strong west breeze, a high of 43, a low of 27.  Partly cloudy Friday the 14th with s WNW wind, a high of 40, a low of 24.

Winter's last gasp is Sunday and Monday, we hope.  It is time to tap maple trees.  The forecast looks like sap will run after the 10th.  Right on schedule according to the old timers.  Bright sunshine is heating the greenhouse up.  Bekah is transplanting pansies.
I got an email from Hannah yesterday.  Josephine is laughing and talking lots more than before her operation.
The Christmas trees we used to make a wind break for the birds are starting to shed their needles.  Another three weeks  it will be time for them to go.  When the pine grosbeaks leave and the red winged blackbirds come.  Then it will be time to put up a new clothesline and start hanging out laundry.   The Amish hang theirs out all winter.
With spring and frost free ground coming we need to decide what to do with the snowball bush in front of the house.  It has never straightened up after that heavy snow that caused so much bamage.  The entire bush is pointed towards the east instead of the sky.  The east and the road.
May your day be blessed, Sally.
