We couldn't ask for a better day for the eclipse.  Please be careful of your eyes.  I read a post on FB by an eye doctor that even with glasses looking at the sun wasn't safe.  There have been several articles that many of the glasses were subpar.  People and traffic will be overwhelming.  I'm getting an oil change early.  I will be coming right home and staying here.  Lots of bare ground is showing.  Today's sun will melt most of the snow that is left.
Everything of Bekah and Jay's is at the farm, Two thirds of Sally Jo's stuff has been moved to the trailer.  The rest is in the garage. With the demands of the greenhouse getting the farm house organized will be slow.  Today they have to load the hay trailer and deliver a load of hay.  A Coast of Maine load is being delivered to the greenhouse.  There is a backorder and a truck with a couple of pallets of supplies coming sometime this week.
Saturday is a big day.  One of my Alaskan granddaughters and her husband will be here visiting from Alaska.  We will celebrate by having the first family picnic of 2024.  The weather isn't forecast to be as nice as today but it will be ok.  We will have a fire in the firepit to cook hot dogs.  Mike will cook hamburgers on the grill. We are all excited.  Even as we work in the greenhouse and try to get the house in shape we will be making Saturday plans.  Only those of us who went to Alaska for Christy's wedding have met her husband.
May God bless you on this day, Sally
