My immune disease has not been in remission this winter, Sometimes it has been bad, sometimes not so bad, Some weeks there have been a lot of blisters, sometimes fewer, Adequate rest is about the only suggestion . Party achieved with the help of Advil. Last night was the first night since before Christmas that my body did not wake me saying, "Take some Advil to calm these blisters." So I ignored the time change, I was not about to miss an hour's sleep. I had already decided not to go to church. When there is a high wind forecast I stay ready to start the generator. The sump pump needs to keep pumping water out of the cellar, especially with the high water table we have now. When the power goes off a machine in the greenhouse calls Bekah. They come and start the greenhouse generator so the plastic inflation fan can do its job. If the plastic covering doesn't stay taut, the wind can tear it. This time of the year the furnace needs to run to keep the plants warm. Jay won't go to church either.
Yesterday I dumped the geraniums we were disappointed in. I have three geranius of an older variety. They are blooming. I used the soil in the pots to hold down the newspaper and cardboard I'm putting on one of my raised beds that has grass sneaking in.
May God bless you on this day. Sally
